Following consultation with all provinces, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood stated the government’s intention to open educational institutions in phases beginning January 18.
Shafqat Mahmood, speaking on Tuesday’s Kosma programme New Day, announced that school for 9th through 12th grades would begin on January 18. Classes for grades I through VIII will begin on January 25. He also stated that A and O level exams will be held in May, followed by board exams in June. There is no such thing as a unilateral decision.
It is worth noting that online sessions will begin on January 11 and that all colleges and higher education institutions will open on February 1. Summer holidays will be minimized and the course will be completed.
