Professor's message to Lala in PSL 7

Veteran Pakistan cricketer Muhammad Hafeez has said that he would like to see former captain Shahid Afridi in action during Pakistan Super League (PSL) 7. Shahid Afridi, who is representing Quetta Gladiators in his farewell tournament, has contracted the corona virus after coming out of the biosecure bubble for a medical check-up.

Expressing good wishes for Shahid Afridi’s speedy recovery in a message released on social networking site Twitter, the professor said that he would like to see Lala in action as soon as he recovers.

It may be recalled that star player Shahid Afridi will be quarantined at home following the protocol of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and will be reinstated to the squad after seven days of quarantine and a negative test. It is to be noted that PSL 7 has started on the last day and its opening ceremony was also held in which Atif Aslam and Aima Baig had tied the knot by spreading the magic of their voices.

After the opening ceremony, the first match of the event was played between Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings in which Multan Sultans defeated Karachi Kings by 7 wickets.
The matches of the first phase of PSL 7 will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi till February 7 while the festival of the second phase of the event will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore where the matches will be held from February 10 to February 27.
