What another honor Shaheen Shah Afridi has left behind his name and all the contemporary bowlers. Shaheen Shah Afridi, the fast bowler of the national cricket team, has become the highest wicket-taker in Test cricket this year while he has claimed 42 wickets till last day. According to the report,
India’s spin bowler Ashwin is at the second position who has taken 41 wickets while at the third position is the fast bowler of the national team Hassan Ali who has taken 38 wickets.
It is to be noted that a two-Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh is underway, the first match of which is being played at Zahoor Ahmed Chaudhry Stadium in Chittagong. So far in the fourth day’s play, Bangladesh’s position is stable and they have scored 129 runs for the loss of 6 wickets while they have a lead of 173 runs.
For Bangladesh, Lytton Das (41) and Noorul Hasan (9) are at the crease while Yasir Ali (36) has retired injured. It may be recalled that the second innings of Bangladesh is going on and in this innings also Shaheen Shah Afridi has taken 3 wickets while Hassan Ali has managed to take 2 and Sajid Khan has taken one wicket.
The second and final Test match of the series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played on December 4 at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
