Undefeated Multan Sultans claim another victory in Pakistan Super League (PSL 7) and won the match against Islamabad United by 20 runs. In a match played at the National Stadium in Karachi on Tuesday, Islamabad United decided to field first to win the toss while Multan Sultans scored 217 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.

Batting in pursuit of the target of 218 runs, the entire team of Islamabad United scored 197 runs and got out on the fourth ball of the twentieth over. Islamabad United suffered their first loss in the form of Paul Sterling when opener Anwar Ali’s ball was caught by David Willie. He played 10 balls and scored 19 runs with the help of four fours.


Alex Hales scored 23 off the first ball of the sixth over before being caught by Roman Raees. When his wicket went to David Willie, Islamabad’s total was 57. Rehmanullah Garbaz was dismissed for 15 in the first over by Khushdal Shah when the team’s total score was 81. Faheem Ashraf also fell victim to Khushdal Shah with just one more score in the team’s total.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan scored the same number of runs off 12 balls and was caught near the boundary. His wicket also went to Khushdal Shah. After scoring 15 runs off seven balls, Asif Ali was dismissed while Islamabad United’s score was 138.


Captain Shadab Khan batted aggressively and scored 91 off 42 balls, including five fours and nine sixes. When his wicket went to Roman Raees, the team’s total score was 194.
Muhammad Waseem was dismissed for three, then lost 20 runs before the victory of Islamabad United. For Multan Sultans, Khushdal Shah took four wickets, David Wali three, Roman Raees one and Anwar Ali one.

Multan Sultans’ innings In the ongoing match at the National Stadium in Karachi, Multan Sultans have scored 217 runs for the loss of five wickets while batting first. This is the highest overall score of any team in the current PSL season.

His wicket went to Wasim Jr. Khushdal Khan reached the wicket to play but after scoring 8 runs off three balls, he returned to the pavilion and the team’s total score was 203.

Riley Russo remained unbeaten on 67 while Anwar Ali, who came to Victor at the end of the innings, could not score. When Multan Sultans won all three matches and took to the field against Islamabad United, the players in it admitted that the competition became tougher with the passage of time.
